Geeze oh freaking crap! of course i knew the avatar finale was going to be amazing. but it was so mindblowing that em and i had to sit there just staring at the tv for a couple of minutes after it ended...and repeating over and over again, "poor azula."
gods the avatar creators pulled out all stops in this finale. i don't think i've ever squealed like a fangurl quite like what i did when avatar came on. i still can't believe it's over. i mean the loose ends of the series:
*ursa
*Jet (what the heck happened to him?!)
*and what is azula going to do now that she's finally lost it?

i almost wish there would be another season but i know nothing can top that episode....
geeze but when the creators said that everyone will be happy, i was desperately trying to find all the ships in there. like when katara goes: i have a surprise for everyone!
and out of nowhere toph's like: you did have a thing with haru!
it was really funny to watch the melon lord and toph as his troops. also i love bumi. and iroh. and jom jom. and grandpakku. oh gods i loved the white lotus part. that was just pure genius! i mean a lot of people knew something was up with the white lotus society, but seriously joining all of our favorite old masters together was just GENIUS!
also, i was tear-bending when iroh and zuko made up. it was so sweet!! i knew iroh would forgive him but this just shouted out what a great guy iroh is.
oh and you know that part where sokka is getting the crew of the airship on the trap door and the navigator and the coal mining guy start talking? that is my favorite new ship right there. lol "i can't believe the captian remembered my birthday!" *falls into the ocean* "happy birthday!"
i think i have narrowed down the three things that terrified me the most. (keep in mind that i love thrills and i don't scare easily at all.)
#3 was watching azula go off the deep end...that was so horrifying and so disturbing, that whenever commercial break happened, i was just repeating over and over, poor azula. i've never liked azula and i've enjoyed watching her get beaten at every battle, but this was just a horrible way to go. i mean i thought she would crack like a little, you know the tears and such. but full on crazy was so unexpected and so horrible. and again i quote em and myself, "poor azula."
#2: oh. my. god. ozai was so freaky. you know the finale commercial when they showed ozai smiling crazily at the camera and his hair whipping back? i think that was the first time i've ever been so freaked out over an animation. blood bending was nothing compared to how terrifying ozai was. he had me cowering in my seat when he was sending huge fireball after huge fireball at aang when he was in his earth-ball (that looked very much like gaara's ultimate defense...). but anyways ozai was so freaky and when he actually hit aang and he was falling toward the ocean, i think i was literally on the edge of my seat, nails embedded into my skin, saying no, no, no, no. alright so i guess you can see what else terrified me the most.
#1: Aang. seriously, zuko had no idea what he was saying when he said that aang had no feriouciousness (i kno i spelled it wrong). when aang went into the avatar state, i believe i went wide eyed and then jumped up and down a couple of times. seriously aang is a very scary opponent. that whole atomic symbol element thing was so freaking awesome! the action scenes were so amazing! i absolutely love the fight sequences! they are so much fun to watch and (unlike all the new horror/action movies) the fights scene aren't so confusing and fast that you don't have any idea how the character got on the other side of the room.
i really didn't like how out of nowhere this turtle/lion thing tells aang how to take away bending. i mean i love the idea and the actual taking away of ozai's bending was amazing and i loved it. but i felt like the lion turtle thing was just kind of thrown in there. i mean have they even mentioned that creature anywhere in the show? i don't really remember, but if someone does remember, then plz message me.
i felt like if avatar yang chen or roku or someone like that gave him the ability to take away bending, i would've made more sense.
lol, the avatars love the phrase "whatever it takes." which, coencidently is our band phrase for this year. lol.
okay soooo...favorite episodes:
king of omashu, waterbending scroll, jet, the storm, the blue spirit, the fortune teller, bato of the water tribe, the waterbending masters, the cave of two lovers, return to omashu, the blind bandit, zuko alone, bitter work, the drill, tales of ba sing se, the headband, the beach, the avatar and the firelord,the puppetmaster, nightmares and dreamscapes, day of black suns, western air temple, the firebending masters, boiling rock, the ember island players and of course all the season finales.
i cannot possibly pin down my all time favorite episode. avatar is the only show that i can watch a single episode over, and over without getting bored with it. this show is amazing and the story of the avatar is just so emotional and fun. i don't know why but you get connected to the characters and i've never seen a fanbase quite as large as avatar's. i hope nick realizes what a great show this is and is sorry for making us wait for this finale. i hope that there will be other shows as epic as this one, which is a very long shot. avatar is and always will be my favorite show and i will sorely miss new episodes. hopefully they will keep on with the avatar goodness and not make a sequel that totally sucks and ruins this for me. anyways goodbye avatar and goodluck to all the staff on this show.
